Education partnership with the Hohenstaufen Gymnasium Göppingen

The school and industry enter into an education partnership and set out on the path into the future together. The Hohenstaufen Gymnasium and the company SE-Elektronic from Göppingen are now investing into the future of the HoGy pupils together. As a MINT-oriented school, the Göppingen Gymnasium wants to promote enjoyment of mathematical, technical and natural-sciences subjects and to promote interested pupils. The school considers it an asset that it is allowed to rely on the proximity to industry and technology in its direct proximity in this. During a works inspection at SE-Elektronic, it became evident how much technical know-how there is among the company's controllers. Access to technology and information technology at school is provided by the subjects of natural sciences and technology (NwT), physics and information technology. The pupils learn programming in NwT based on Meclab® automatons or Qfix-robots. The teens can now experience practical application of their knowledge acquired in school for example during a work experience or in the scope of professional orientation in the BoGy at SE-Elektronic. The company develops designs and markets building automation to control room climate technology - an important step towards the Smart Home. The pupils can experience concepts such as sustainability and economic efficiency on the product from draft to implementation of the finished systems this way. The school sees cooperation with the economic operation as an essential part of its offer for professional orientation in addition to the career information day that takes place every two years. Girls and boys alike are to get a look at companies already during their time at school, in order to be able to choose a specific education path later, either in the scope of university studies, dual studies or training. The Göppingen Gymnasium is also happy about the company's offer of providing training to applicants. All in all, it is a promising project!
